Time for another Glitter Queen Blog Hop.  With the holidays vastly approaching our theme for this month is Home for the Holidays.  The first card that I designed was for Thanksgiving.  To remind me of all the things that I am thankful for in my life.

I chose to use Tip Top Taupe to make this elegant butterfly easel card that I cased from Dawn Griffith 2 years ago.  Click Here to watch Dawn’s Video.

The card base is Tip Top Taupe and Measures 4 1/4 by 11 and scored at 5 1/2.  It is also scored on the card front from the top right corner down to the bottom left corner.  Cut 2 pieces of Very Vanilla at 4 by 5 1/4. You will also need some scraps of Very Vanilla, Tip Top Taupe and Gold Foil Sheets. For the bling you will need basic pearls.

I used the Butterfly Basic stamp set.  Stamp both of your Very Vanilla pieces using the Tip Top Taupe ink pad.  After you stamp your card front cut it in half diagonally and adhere to the card with adhesive of your choice.  Stamp 3 butterflies and punch out using the Bitty Butterfly Punch.

Using the Butterfly Thinlits and The Big Shot cut out 2 butterflies using the Tip Top Taupe cardstock.  Using the smallest butterfly cut out 2 butterflies using the Gold Foil Sheets.

Use dimensionals to put the butterflies together and use glue dots to adhere all the butterflies to the card.  Put some basic pearls on the body of the butterflies.

Stamp the sentiment on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut out using the Layering Oval Framelits.  Put dimensionls on the back and center on the inside of the card so the card front rests behing the sentiment.

I hope you try this card and have as much fun making it as I did.  Until next time….Happy Stamping.

Hi Stampers and Crafters and welcome to the First Friday Blog Hop.  The theme for the blog hop was easter.  I did this card recently at a card class and everyone loved this card.

I used the Easter Message stamp set. Stamped the background with versamark and gold embossing powder on crumb cake cardstock and set with the heat tool.  I stamped the cross on the shimmery white cardstock and colored it in with aqua painter using chocolate chip, wisteria wonder and perfect plum classic ink.  Ran it through the big shot with the stitched framelits.  Stamped the sentiment with chocolate chip classic ink and cut out with the stitched framelits.  Cut the gold foil cardstock with the layering oval framelits.  I hope you enjoy this card as much as i did making it.

First Blog Post

Hello Stampers, Paper Crafters and Foodies alike.  I decided to start a blog to share what I love with other people.  I am an Independent Stampin Up! demonstrator and I also have a passion for food and trying out new recipes.  I offer a card buffet once a month in my home where we make 5 cards and have a delicious lunch which is provided by me.  It gives me a chance to try a new recipe and have lots of taste testers.  No complaints yet.  So I hope you will check back in to experience the wonderful products of Stampin Up!, card designs, 3D projects and maybe a new recipe.  Until then….Happy Stamping.
